You know these icon graphics games use to indicate suggested player age? Do you know of a freely available vector available anywhere? My searches aren't turning up anything.

seeking info on AMD, boosts appreciated

Hey folks,

Does anyone have any experience running an AMD Ryzen 7 4800U processor?

• How do you like its performance?

• Is there a specific workload that it struggles to handle? (i.e. lags, stutters, freezes)

• Would you recommend it for general home/office use? (i.e. video streaming, web browsing, spreadsheets, document editing)

(still) need financial help, boosts welcome

Hey friends, I still could use some money for the end of the monts, I’m going to be broke very soon :x

And there has been some mishaps with my work’s HR that made it so I won’t be paid my full salary for the first two months and that’s going to complicate things for me.

It would be nice if you could send in some money, I really need it rn even though I wish I didn’t have to ask again.

And also a boost is free and always goes a long way <3

Climate, scotish politics, oil companies

I must have been asleep all this time, since I didnt realise who will be behind the carbon capture techs.

Turns out the scotish government want to offset 1/4 of their emission by paying the oil industry to use their pipe the otherway around to store CO2.

1) I dont think there has been any substancial way to prove they can do the moving of CO2 and that it works eg. The carbon is sequestrated and not just released under the sea.

2) it is a quantity play. That mean it would only make sense if they can get as much CO2 from as little sources as possible.
So that basically means it will incentivise the worse poluter to do more polution since they will litterally get paid for it.

The gov needs 10 million tons to go away.
The oil company will take that contract and say pay us for the capacity then do not much. On the otherside they can say pay us for what we sequester and go to their mate making cement or iron, etc. and say I need as much CO2 as you can give me, here is a bit of money.

So we pay taxes to give to oil company to fix a problem they created with a solution that make the matter worse.

I "found" a solution via OBS + this plugin, but I can't get the caption out of OBS, also it means using the OBS virtual cam plugin (clumsy) and replace my screensharing by ma virtual cam, showing my screen + captions (big performance mess)

Any idea of a/some tools I could use (free if possible) on mac (or web)? It should do a live transcript of what I am saying (+ possibly voice of another person in the call, I can route my mic + sound of the call by myself if needed to a virtual mic) and let me display that live transcript somewhere on my screen.

I am looking for solutions to provide auto-generated live-caption by myself (on my scrensharing then) if tools for online calls and meetups don't provide those. But I'm not sure how.

Waking up early is a crime agzinst (my) nature.

Pressured vessel question

I am trying to figure out why no one seems to use square pressured vessel.

I only can see this butane/propane cube

Is it simply because it is harder to manufacture, hence more expensive?

Is it harder to calculate the presure?

Is it the 90° corners that require thicker walls therefore eliminating the volume gains?

I am at loss there, I've been googling this for days in 2 languages without success.

Can someone point me in the right direction?
